The fire is barely alight at the moment, but this is first thing in the morning.

The west and north sides are clad in real sandstone blocks.
This cabinet is one of the larger ones of this first set and it is included in the Sui Generis Collection.
Dimensions are 440mm wide, 240mm deep and 440mm high including the decorative finial.
A picture of Professor Albus Dumbledore adorns the back wall of the Common Room next to the magnificent stone fireplace. He was considered to be one of the greatest and most powerful wizards of all time.
He was born in 1881 and was the son of Kendra and Percival and resided in Godric’s Hollow until becoming a student himself at Hogwartz. He was also sanctioned to the Gryffadore house.
The cabinet is fully enclosed to protect it and keep dust and other particles.
The bureau is full of spell books and other magical wisdom, a couple of them have been left out on the decorative gothic table along with a box of Professor Dumbledore’s sweets.
The candelabra has six candles which all flicker independently of each other. The flicker rates of each candle are individually controlled by the built in MK-005 dolls house remote control system unique to Microminiatures.

Early evening now and the great fire is raging.
The candles on the candelabra are bright and softly flickering.
There are two oil lamps alight, each with a dancing flame.
All of the lighting effects operate Independently of each other and can be adjusted using the remote control supplied with the cabinet.
Dumbledore’s office chair looks like it has seen better days and the desk could do with a tidy. But we’ll forgive him, after all he is over 120 years old.
A great deal of people think that the Ravenclaw common room is the best of the four, as according to the Harry Potter tales, a magnificent statue of Helena Ravenclaw was placed within it. Being one of the tallest towers of Hogwartz, it also had a wondeful views. Expect to see our adaption of the Ravenclaw common room at some point in the future.
However, the Gryffadore common room is the most favoured at Microminiatures.
The great stone fireplace has seen many magnificent fires burning away in the past, as can be seen by the blackened bricks. Today is no exception, a roaring fire is raging away.
The Common room has a lovely cosy look to it this evening with the oil lamps and candelabra flickering away.
Three tapestries adorn the walls of the common room giving it a striking resemblance to the Gryffadore common room at Hogwartz.
There is also a magnificent gothic window on the North wall stretching almost from the ceiling to the floor.
Dumbledore’s armchair is conveniently near the fire and bureau.
Notice the attention to detail Sean Valentine has put into this wonderful cabinet including the carpets which give it a warm and cosy feeling.
The lighting effects are programmed and operated using the Microminiatures MK-005 remote control dolls house lighting system.
Each candle in the candelabra can be programmed independently, creating a very realistic effect.
The fire has five independent led lights which create an extremely realistic look.
All of the settings of the fire leds, candles and oil lamps can be programmed with their own unique effects.
The remote control is also used to turn the lighting on and off from the comfort of your armchair.
