This charming Tudor house has been fashioned and crafted from within the workshops and studios of Kevin Jackson.
A dwelling close to the estuary in the sleepy village of Instow in North Devon was the inspiration for this wonderful 1/12 scale dollhouse.
We are very proud to be commissioned to sell this delightful 1/12 scale Tudor property by master miniature craftsman Kevin Jackson.
Kevin specializes in Tudor period dolls houses, this is number 52 in his collection and is signed on the back by the artisan himself.

The great hall is where the family entertainment mainly takes place.
The wall candles give the room a cosy atmosphere.

Instow Cottage is the 52nd dolls house from Kevin Jackson, a one off creation which will never be repeated.
This is an opportunity to own this bespoke dolls house.
A unique investment which will only increase in value.
Kevin has replicated the original Tudor building techniques by indivually cutting, drilling and fixing timber pegs into positions where the structural joints would have occured.

The table is set for a fine banquet.
The furniture along with the plates and cutlery are included with this property.
Each individual floorboard is handmade and fitted into place separately. For realism, the floorboards have joints carefully cut into them with nail holes at either side of the joints.
Each individual beam is also hand crafted and treated to look old and realistic.

Inside the Instow kitchen. All the accessories are included in the sale.
The staircase and furniture, including the table and barrels have all been hand made by Kevin. Most of the other accessories have been supplied by Microminiatures.
The inside of the kitchen is lit by 6 individual candle lights. They are dimmed by the Microminiatures MK-005 remote control unit to give a warm cosy feel.

Instow Cottage measures 1000mm wide, 820mm deep, 730mm high and weighs in excess of 40kg.

The south facing panel has been removed displaying the master bedroom which is at the top of the stairs above the kitchen.

The inside of the master bedroom contains many rafters and beams.
All made from solid wood, they have been wire brushed to bring out the natural grain of the wood
The edges of the beams and rafters have been carefully distressed to give an aged appearance.

Note how some of the render is missing from the chimney stack, giving a more realistic appearance to this fine Tudor property.

The leaded light windows are handmade with a finish on the glass effect window panes. This gives a realistic textured relief just as Tudor glass would have looked.
The windows come complete with handmade internal ironmongery.

The MK-005 remote control unit is housed here giving easy access to view the indicator lights for programming or changing the settings.
The back wall aslo bears the signature of the artisan Kevin Jackson. This is house number 52.

The fireplace and the lighting are controlled by the advanced MK-005 remote lighting control system which is used all over the world.
This property has been fully wired and connected to the most advanced remote lighting controller for dolls house lighting available. The fireplace has been programmed to flicker like a real fire and the candles have been dimmed to provide a cosy atmosphere.
Supplied with an instruction complete with a power supply (fitted with a UK Plug) and all ready to be switched on.
