Our keyring transmitter and receiver is an extremely good value for money module which is ideal for a base to simply build a 4 channel wireless control system using an Arduino.
The transmitter has an excellent range which is around 50 metres (this may vary with surroundings) and is supplied with a replaceable 23A 12 volt battery. It also has a built in retractable aerial for consistent operation with a sliding button protector to avoid unintended operation.
The receiver operates on 5V and is ideal for connecting to an Arduino. The receiver has 4 independent outputs which are normally Low (0 volts) and go High (+5 Volts) when it’s corresponding button is pressed. Note the outputs remain On (High) only while it’s button is pressed (i.e they are momentary). For the outputs to operate in a toggle fashion (i.e. press once to turn on and again to turn off) then the outputs from the module should be connected to inputs of an Arduino or similar to operate in this fashion. A simple sketch is available from us to program an Arduino to produce toggled outputs. We also supply a pre-programmed Arduino Nano for easy creation of toggled outputs.
